Katieā€™s Kage, PhD, RD
Hey there! Iā€™m Dr. Katie Kage and a Co-Founder and Co-CEO of BBIQ. Iā€™ve been a college professor since 2014, teaching a variety of nutrition, exercise, and behavior change courses. Iā€™m also a wellness focused Registered Dietitian who specializes in diversity, equity, and inclusion, body image/eating disorders, and weight inclusive practices.Ā
I graduated with my PhD in Human Science and Masterā€™s of Science in Nutrition and Exercise Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Prior to that, I received Bachelor's degrees in Nutrition, Kinesiology, and Dietetics from Kansas-State University.
Iā€™ve worked both in the clinical and wellness arena helping individuals actualize their health goals through mindful nutrition, exercise, and stress-reducing practices. Living in a world where there is an infinite amount of information at our fingertips, I focus on supporting individuals in the journey of moving from knowing to doing.
When Iā€™m not working, I fill my free time engaging in all that life has to offer with my husband and two kids. Participating in family picnics, game nights, and dance parties are small moments that bring me infinite amounts of joy.
Mallory Jordan, MPH, MBA
Hey yā€™all! Iā€™m Mallory, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of BBIQ. Iā€™ve been working in and around higher education since 2009. The core of my career has always been about building community, behavior change, and evaluating environments in an effort to improve the well-being of others.
I graduated with my Master in Public Health with an emphasis in Community Health from the Colorado School of Public Health and Master in Business Administration from Colorado State University. Prior to that, I received my Bachelor of Science in Health Education from the University of Arizona.
When Iā€™m not working, my time is dedicated to my two kiddoā€™s, my partner, and our two fur babies. We spend a lot of time camping and exploring National Parks (with the goal to see them all) and of course all the things that come with having two small children.

OUR STORY
Katie and Mallory first met in 2012 when they started working together on a college campus. They instantly became friends through talking about personal and professional goals as they both had an innate drive to succeed at everything. They also bonded over the fact that they were the only females on the team and encouraged each other to use their voice and quiet their inner critic. Katie and Mallory became safe spaces for one another as they walked through their careers, relationships, and eventually becoming mothers.
Ā Because of their bravery in being vulnerable with each other, they found themselves learning that different struggles they were experiencing like insecurities with their body, mom guilt, unhealthy habits, and setting boundaries, were in fact normal. They began leaning on each other to shift their mindset and start making small but lasting changes in their lives. Connecting in this way, showed Katie and Mallory that investing in the quest to let their badassness shine was empowering and fulfilling and therefore they wanted every woman to do the same. From that realization, BBIQ was born.
